FAQ
Psychotherapy can help if anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, grief, trauma, or other challenges are affecting your well-being. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek counselling for personal growth, self-understanding, and improving their relationships and overall quality of life.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your concerns, goals, and expectations, and gain a better understanding of your current situation. It is also a chance to determine whether we are a good fit to work together moving forward.
The number of sessions varies for each person. It depends on your concerns, goals, life circumstances, and progress in therapy. Some individuals find a few sessions helpful, while others choose to continue therapy for a longer period to support deeper or ongoing work.

A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. If you feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing your concerns, it is a good sign that the therapeutic relationship is a good fit. The first session can help you assess this.
Session fees are listed on the Fees & Insurance page. Many extended health insurance plans in Canada cover services provided by Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) and Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCCs). Please check with your insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage before beginning therapy.
